       LMES Career Fair- Volunteers Needed
On Thursday, February 2, 2017, Lake Murray Elementary will sponsor a CAREER FAIR EXHIBIT for students in grades 3 and 4.
We are asking your help in making the career fair a knowledgeable and meaningful experience for our students.  Would you consider volunteering to be a part?
Here's all you have to do...
Bring pictures, “tools” or information about your career to share at an exhibit with our third and fourth graders.  We provide you a table, a display board and an electrical outlet if needed for any technology you may choose to bring.  Students will come by your exhibit individually or in small groups on an informal basis to ask questions about your career.
There's no need to prepare any type of "speech."  Just be prepared to tell what you do and answer questions. It's that simple. The career fair will begin at 8 a.m. and end by 10 a.m.  So it only costs you about 2 hours of time.
If you'd like to volunteer, please do one of the following:
      • Email Gwen Sitsch, school counselor, at  Please type "Career Fair" in the subject line.  If you do not receive a response from Mrs. Sitsch within 24 hours, please resend your email and copy your child's teacher on it requesting that he/she forward it to Mrs. Sitsch.
      • OR call Mrs. Sitsch at 476-4605.
If you cannot attend but know someone who may be able to attend or would like to volunteer, please pass this information along to that person.
We are asking that all who choose to volunteer contact Mrs. Sitsch no later than January 25, 2017If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Sitsch using the contact information provided above. Thank you for considering this wonderful opportunity to educate our third and fourth graders about the world of work!

Lunch Visitation: Guests may come any day to join us for lunch. We do ask that you let the classroom teacher know that you will be coming for lunch so that we can ensure that there is enough seating and food. Remember to bring the correct change for purchase of lunch.

LMES Student Directory Updates: We will be updating the LMES Student Directory in January. If you are new to our school, or did not register your child in the fall, please feel free to do so now. If you want verification that your registration went through, please email

Mentors Needed: Calling all mentors! We are always in need of individuals interested in serving as
mentors to our students. Mentors typically spend about 30 minutes every week with the student they serve. Mentors can be parents, grandparents, grand-"friends," or even business partners in the community. If interested, please contact Meredith Hardage at to learn more.

Please note the following buses are locked out:

      LMES/CIS PM Routes: #10, 13, 15, 19, 20, 21 & 22

A "locked out bus" means the bus is overcrowded. Only students assigned to the bus will be allowed to ride. Friends should not be invited to ride the bus who are not already assigned to that bus without prior approval from Chapin Transportation. You can contact Chapin Transportation by emailing Tony Ayers at
