The Mission of Chapin Intermediate School, in partnership with the community, is to develop all students academically, socially, and emotionally through a challenging instructional program that prepares all students for continued success and inspires a passion for learning and serving.

CIS Student Dancers
The CMS and JV Chapin Girls Dance team won 1st in both their pom and hip hop divisions. There are 6 CIS students who dance with the CMS team and 1 CIS student who dances with the JV team. Here are the CIS students who participated:

Character Education Students for April
Integrity is our character education word this month. Integrity is being honest and having strong morals, even when no one is watching. We grow our Eagle Strength as we show integrity and improve ourselves and our communities. 10 students are growing their integrity really well. They are Caison C., McKenzie P., Jon., Hank B., Colin L., Anastasia M., Dane B., Sophia E., Isaiah M., and Zoe D. These students will receive an ice cream social in May to celebrate! Congratulations to our April character education winners!
PTO BINGO NIGHT
PTO sponsored Bingo Night on March 21. Food, fun and prizes galore! Thank you CIS PTO for hosting such a fun event!
Staff and Students enjoyed our 2nd annual Hot Shots Competition Finals on Friday, March 15. It was a great way to end the week as students and staff had a "spirited" time!! Thank you Mr. Pearson for all of your hard work to make this a success!

PRESS RELEASE FROM LEARNING ALLY:
Students at Chapin Intermediate School have emerged triumphant in Learning Ally's Great Reading Games, a nationwide competition designed to foster a love for reading and improve literacy skills among students.
Over a seven-week period, students from schools across the country competed to devour the most books, showcasing their dedication to the written word and their commitment to literacy. Chapin Intermediate School's participation in the event not only demonstrated their enthusiasm for reading but also highlighted their exceptional reading stamina. Learning Ally's Great Reading Games is a highly acclaimed event that has been proven to effectively engage students and enhance their reading skills. By offering a platform for friendly competition, the event encourages students to immerse themselves in literature and develop a lifelong passion for reading.
In recognition of their outstanding achievement, Chapin Intermediate School has been awarded a $500 digital gift card. This well-deserved prize serves as a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students, teachers, and staff at Chapin Intermediate School.
