I vividly remember the day that the doctor came into my hospital room and told me that I was free to take my son home after his birth. I recall thinking, "What?  That's it...you're going to let me leave the hospital with this baby just like this?  What about instructions? What do I do if he gets fussy and I can't get him calmed?  What do I do if he doesn't eat?"  The questions went on and on in my head. 

      A billboard I've seen has a picture of a baby with the caption, "If only they came with instructions."  How true!  But children't don't come with instructions and often as parents we find ourselves searching for answers to common and not-so-common childhood problems.  While "THE BOOK" has not yet been written on all the various curves our children are bound to throw at us, many wonderful resources exist.  The purpose of Counselor's Corner is to provide you a resource to some of the perils of parenting.  If you are searching for information about a specific issue, please feel free to e-mail me with your request and I'll search hard to find some information for you.  I look forward to hearing from you with requests, questions, or comments.
