Stephanie Smith

Greetings and welcome to my page...

My name is Stephanie Smith and I am orginally from Lake Hurst, New Jersey. I actually grew up in Estill, SC. I have a 10 year old son named Kaden of whom I adore and is also a student here at SOESMM. My hobbies include singing, dancing, acting, reading, playing sports, praising God and enjoying my family.

I have been teaching currently for 24 years. I have taught 3 years in a private school and 21 years in the public school setting. This is my 7th year in Lexington/Richland School District 5 at Seven Oaks Media Magnet Elementary School.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in education from Claflin University and my Masters of Art degree from South Carolina State University. I will be pursuing my Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership this year.  I am currently teaching 5th grade all subjects. I love it!

Teaching has been a passion of mine since I was a little girl. I view each student as my own. I want them to succeed in everything they do and strive to be the very best. I feel it's my duty to make sure they reach their goal no matter how large or how small. When their dreams come true I feel I have made a difference!

I have a heart for my students so I have created and been the advisor of two clubs here at SOESMM.  My clubs were called: The Bow Tie Gentlemans Club (all boys club from grades 1st-5th), and The Royal Gems Club( All girls grades 1st-5th). These clubs taught young boys and girls how to become mannerable young men and women, self esteem, manners, table manners, dressing for success, and community service.  I also started a creative dance group. I was the Seven Oaks Owls Girls basketball coach.

With our new norm these clubs are not in session right now.

I love Seven Oaks Media Magnet Elementary School and I look forward to coming to school everyday to teach our future leaders!
