Play Ready, Set, Read! If your child returns this game board completed with your signature during the first full week of school, they will earn a prize! This game has fun ways to keep your child reading until they reach the finish line in August!
Visit the local library. No matter what county you live in, you can participate in free events and your child can earn summer reading incentives from BOTH Lexington and Richland county libraries. Be sure to get a library card for the county you live in so you can check out fun books your child will want to read. Get more information from Mrs. Matney's link below.
Use Compass Learning. www.compasslearningodyssey.com If your child uses Compass Learning for 20 hours, they will earn a prize. If they complete Ready, Set, Read AND use Compass Learning for 20 hours, they will earn the Grand Prize! Your child’s username was sent home with summer reading forms. The program is targeted to students who have just completed 1st through 8th grades and is designed to help kids retain math skills learned during the previous school year. Click here for more information.Information from the District Office1) Proof of Residence – Schools began accepting POR documents on May 8, 2017. Students must have submitted new POR prior to school beginning on August 23, 2017.
2) New Students from outside the district may begin the enrollment process using Registration
Gateway on June 5th .
3) Currently enrolled students will receive an email the last week of June with their login information for the Registration Gateway Update site (same as last year). Parents will be able to access the site on July 1 st . All students must have their information updated prior to schedule pickup (Secondary) and/or the start of school. The site includes the annual information that is updated, AUA, Media Consent, Mobile Device and Student handbook. It also includes the Health Card information.FYI: This cannot be opened earlier than July 1 st because the End of Year process must promote
students to the new grade/school.Proof of Residence
Each year ALL families are required to provide 3 proofs of residence. You will need to provide the following:
1) Property tax bill/Lease/Real Estate Closing documents2) Two bills dated May 1, 2017 or later. These can be electric, water, sewer, cable, satellite, phone, cell phone, vehicle tax or voter registration card. When a student and his/her parent/legal guardian move in with a family in an existing home or apartment, the parent/legal guardian must provide proof of acceptable address. The homeowner must provide the 3 proofs of residence above and an affidavit must be completed and
