      4K Registration
      Beginning Feb. 12, District 5 will begin accepting applications for the non-tuition based 4 year old
      kindergarten program. You will need to complete the application at the school where you are currently zoned. Be sure to have your child’s birth certificate and one proof of residence. There is NO school of choice for the 4K non-tuition based program.
      2018-2019 Kindergarten Registration- Click HERE to register. 
      Students who will turn 5 by September 1st, may begin registering for kindergarten. Registration will be online beginning Jan. 8th. After completing your online registration, contact Donna Corley, registrar, to complete the registration process by providing your child’s birth certificate, current immunization and proof of residence.

      LMES School Store Information:  
      Our Lake Murray Elementary School Store will open the week of February 12, 2018. Each grade level is assigned a specific shopping day and students are only allowed to shop on their grade level's assigned day. The days are:
      Tuesday:  Kindergarten and 4th grade
      Wednesday:  2nd grade
      Thursday:  1st Grade
      Friday:  3rd Grade   
      The store is open for students to shop from 7:20-7:35 a.m.  
      If your child would like to shop at the school store, he or she should arrive at school in time to report to his or her classroom.  The teacher will provide the student a pass that allows the him/her to shop. If a child arrives at or later than 7:35 he or she will not be able to shop as the store will close at 7:35.
      Items in the school store with prices are:
      Pencils:  $0.25
      Erasers:  $0.50
      Pencil Toppers:  $0.50
      Pencil Grips:  $0.50
      Bookmarks:  $0.50
      Pencils Sharpeners:  $1.00
      Pens:  $1.00

      Nominations are now being accepted for the 2018 Tri-District Arts Consortium Summer Program.  Middle school students who attend the public schools of Lexington One, District Five of Lexington and Richland Counties and Richland Two are eligible to participate. This year marks the 33rd   year Tri-DAC has provided students an outstanding and concentrated study of the arts through this summer program.

      The program is designed for artistically gifted and talented students who are rising sixth through ninth graders in the summer before the 2018-2019 school year. Students may audition in creative writing, dance, music (strings, vocal and wind/percussion), theatre or visual art.

      Transportation - Locked Out Buses:
      We have been notified by Chapin Transportation that the following buses are locked out. This means that student not assigned to a bus may not ride with friends on these buses due to overcrowding. Locked out buses: #13, #21, #22, #23 & #24
      Please remember that all requests for students to ride with a friend requires 24 hours notice for approval from Transportation.
