Welcome to a brand new school year filled with exciting adventures, boundless learning, and unforgettable moments! I am absolutely delighted to be your teacher and embark on this incredible journey of discovery together.

In our classroom, we're not just a teacher and students – we're a team. We will celebrate each other's successes, lift each other up through challenges, and create an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and safe. I believe that each one of you brings something special to our class, and I can't wait to discover your unique talents and passions.

 I've had the incredible privilege of teaching for 11 amazing years in District Five. Each year has been a unique chapter filled with laughter, growth, and countless "aha" moments. I can't wait to share all of this with you and learn from each other. I grew up in Aiken, South Carolina. I graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Packaging Science. I worked with two large corporations as a Packaging Engineer.  After my daughter Kennedy was born, I decided to travel the professional baseball circuit with my husband, Billy. No matter where we lived in the country though, we always made our way back to South Carolina. I got my Masters in Elementary Education in 2012. We travel less but still spend some part of every summer following the ball team my husband coaches. 

I have two children, both in college. I also have a boxer named Charlie. In my free time I like playing tennis and taking Charlie for long walks. I also like to ride my bike and watch movies. I love to play video games, especially Mario Kart. The new DLC is awesome with the new courses. If it's summer, then chances are you will find me reading a good book. My favorites are The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien, and the Harry Potter series (yes, the whole thing).

Communication is key, so please feel free to talk to me about anything – whether it's a question about our lessons, a concern, or just something you'd like to share. My door is always open, and I'm here to support you in any way I can.

Get ready for a year filled with growth, laughter, and moments that will warm your heart. I can't wait to see the incredible individuals each of you will become. Together, we'll make this school year unforgettable!
