      We just completed another exciting week of school!  Here are some reminders for the upcoming week:

      Final Exam Schedule

      June 4 - 1st and 2nd Period Final Exams

      June 5 - 5th and 6th Period Final Exams

      June 6 (Half Day) - 3rd and 4th Period Final Exams

      June 7 (Half Day) - Make-up Exams

      June 8 (Half Day) - Make-up Exams


      Lost and Found

      Our Lost and Found is located in the cafeteria at the entrance by the trophy case.  If you are missing any items, please check this location. All remaining items will be given to Goodwill on 06/11/18.


      Field Day Eligibility

      Field Day is June 7 for 7th grade and June 8 for 8th grade.  Students with outstanding ID or Library debt will have an alternative activity on that day instead of attending Field Day.  Please clear up your ID and Library debts before June 7th.


      Final After School Detention

      June 4th is the last day we will hold After School Detention.  Any students that receive After School Detentions after June 4th will serve the time on June 7 or 8 during Fox Frenzy.


      Middle School Summer School


      All students will attend Middle School Summer School at Irmo Middle School.



      Week 1: June 18, 19, 20, 21   Monday – Thursday

      Week 2: June 25, 26, 27, 28   Monday – Thursday

      Week 3: July 2, 3   Monday & Tuesday



      8:30 AM – 1:30 PM

      Breakfast and lunch will be provided at no charge.



      Transportation will be provided to students from both Chapin MS and Dutch Fork MS.


      Morning Departure:

      Students will be picked up from Chapin MS at 7:30am.

      Students will be picked up from Dutch Fork MS at 7:50am.


      Afternoon Arrival:

      Students will be dropped off at Dutch Fork MS at 2:00pm.

      Students will be dropped off at Chapin MS at 2:20pm.


      It is imperative that all students are on time for the bus transportation.  If your child misses the bus, please bring your child to Irmo Middle School immediately as it is essential for students to attend every day.



      The cost for Summer School is $50.00. Please contact the DFMS summer school coordinator, Mrs. Major-Murphy at 476-4800 if you would like to discuss payment options or special considerations.


      Health Room Reminder

      Thank you for allowing me to help with meeting your child's health needs at school this year. The end of the year is almost here and we are making preparations for the closing of the health room. If your child has medication here at school, a parent or guardian will need to pick it up before the health room closes. For safety reasons, the school does not send medications home with students and medications cannot be stored over the summer. Any medications remaining will have to be disposed of according to DHEC regulations. Please stop by the health room to pick up your child's medication before the last day of school June 8th, 2018. If you need to make special arrangements, please call the nurse at 476-4809.

      Cafeteria Debts

      All cafeteria debts should be cleared this coming week as it is our last week of this school year.  Students will not be allowed to make purchases the last 3 days of school if they do not have funds in their accounts.  If you have any questions about your student's account, you can call the cafeteria at (803)476-4808 or email the cafeteria manager at jabrown29@lexrich5.org.


      Junior Beta Club Update

      The Jr. Beta Club will hold their May meeting this Monday, May 7th at 7:45 a.m. and 3:50 p.m. in Room 114 on the red hallway. Members are reminded to turn in their service hours forms and copies of their 3rd quarter grades.


      PTSA Updates

      Greetings Fox family!

      As we wind down this school year, we'd like to take a moment to thank every teacher, parent and child that has volunteered time or donated to the PTSA this year. It has been an amazing year and we have been able to do a lot for teachers and students this year.  During all lunches on Monday & Tuesday we will have a photo booth set up for the students’ enjoyment. This is one of our large student awards. This is our THANK YOU, for all of their hard work.

      Dutch Fork Middle School PTSA

      Those of you that are sending in waters, canopies and coolers please send them in by Monday, June 4th. The coolers and canopies will be in the carline (please park in spaces in carline area for pick up.) for pick up on June 8th. Or, in the office to pick up during summer hours unless you have made other arrangements.
