Mrs. Kara White

I have worked as a professional educator since 2012. I began my teaching career in Lexington School District Five teaching Art at Harbison West Elementary school. After four years of teaching elementary, I moved on to teaching 7th and 8th grade Art at Chapin Middle School. This will be my 9th year at Chapin Middle. I love learning about and teaching art! I want to teach all of my students everything I know about the world of art.

I grew up in Irmo, SC, and graduated from our very own Dutch Fork High School!  After graduation, I moved to Columbia, SC to study Art Education at the University of South Carolina. I am certified in Art Education with a concentration in photography and ceramics.

 Outside of school, I enjoy cooking, traveling, and spending time with my family.
