This course provides classroom instruction and lab experience related to metalworking. It focuses on the operation of equipment such as the lathe, milling machine, grinders, drilling machines, precision measuring instruments, and hand tools. Blueprint reading and math are important parts of the course. Students who register for this course should enjoy working with machines and making metal projects.

This course includes advanced instruction on machining metal. The course focuses on milling machines, boring and drilling, the use of surface grinders, drilling machines, basic study of CNC equipment, job seeking, public relations, and manufacturing facilities.
