Mrs. Amy Brown

Welcome to my classroom web page for Honors World History, AP World History, and AP European History.  My classroom in C113 and I am the Dean of the Exercise Science Academy.  My classroom telephone number is 476-8759.

On September 4th, students and parents will receive an email with updated information for the first day of school on Tuesday, September 8th.  It is vital that students open this email as soon as possible, as it will contain codes for students to join Google Classroom as well as instructions for how to join Google Meets for e-learning on Wednesdays. The second day of school, September 9th, will be an e-learning day for all students.  Make sure that students have received the email and join the Google Classroom as soon as possible.

This is my seventh year teaching at SHHS and my twenty-eighth year of teaching overall.  I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Carson-Newman College in Tennessee and my Master's Degree in Secondary Education from the University of South Carolina.  As a history educator, I strive to make history fun and engaging as students make connections between the past and the present.  My goal is to guide my students as they improve their critical thinking skills, expand their ability to analyze historical and geographical sources, and mature into responsible citizens.  Ultimately, I want my students to relate to history in an exciting way that will help them exceed their potentials.

All classroom resources are located on Google Classroom.

Please review the course syllabus for your child's class and click on the Google Form link at the bottom of the syllabus to provide an electronic signature that you have read and understand the course expectations.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. This will be a challenging year, but together, we can make it a positive experience! We've Got This!
