Hello and welcome to the FIVE Virtual Academy! I am excited to grow with you together this year as we work together in the virtual environment.

In my spare time, I like to play board games, go for walks, and read just about anything. I graduated in 1996 from Connecticut College with degrees in Economics and Hispanic Studies (essentially it's Latin American Social Studies in Spanish). I chose to attend Connecticut College because of its international studies certificate program. Through that program, I took special classes in international events and had an internship with Duracell in Mexico City. After college, I was an economics consultant for Pricewaterhouse Coopers in Washington, DC, then attended law school at the University of Virginia. I have always been interested in international perspectives, and focused my legal studies on international business/trade. I was an international trade attorney with Baker & McKenzie in Washington, DC. To keep this story short, I have always loved teaching and mentoring. As an adjunct professor I have taught Trial Level Writing at George Mason School of Law, Legal Research and Writing to foreign lawyers at Boston University School of Law, and currently teach two International Law & Business courses in the USC Darla Moore School of Business's Professional MBA program.  I also love to research the World Trade Organization, and published an article about the WTO and taxes a very long time ago!

Why do I want to teach high school? High School Students are so full of potential, every single one.  I look forward to guiding them on their journeys.

Welcome to my website. To my students: I look forward to meeting each and every one of you. Welcome to FIVE and it's my pleasure to be your teacher.
