Pursuing Excellence for Tomorrow's Challenges
I am grateful, humbled and excited to be starting my twentieth year in education as principal at Chapin Intermediate School! Prior to this, I served as principal at Harbison West Elementary School, assistant principal at: Spring Hill High School, Columbia High School and William Howard Taft High School (Chicago). I started my career as a social studies teacher at Taft High School for eight years before becoming an assistant principal. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from The University of Michigan, my Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Northeastern Illinois University and my Specialist in Education Administration degree from The University of South Carolina. I am passionate about working with students, faculty and staff to help them maximize their potential as learners and educational servants. To relax, I enjoy spending time with my wife Danielle, and my sons Micah and Caleb. I also enjoy watching Michigan Football and Basketball. Go Blue!!!!!
This is my second year as an Assistant Principal at Chapin Intermediate and I’m thrilled to be an EAGLE! I thoroughly enjoy working in District Five where we Know Thy Impact. I have 10 years of experience in a Physical Education classroom. My previous experience came in Richland District Two at North Springs Elementary and Catawba Trail Elementary.
I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Coastal Carolina University. Go Chanticleers! I earned a Master of Science degree in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina. Go Gamecocks!
One of the best parts of me is my wonderful family. My wife is Alison, we have two boys, Brooks and Finley with a third arriving in October. Outside of school I love being active! I enjoy all sports and anything competitive.
I’m looking forward to a wonderful year!
I could not be more excited and eager to begin my journey at Chapin Intermediate. As a graduate of Chapin, I consider myself incredibly lucky to be returning to the “nest”! I have earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Winthrop University and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of South Carolina. I have previously taught 6th grade at Carolina Springs Middle School, in Lexington School District One and 3rd grade at Chapin Elementary School. The past two years, I have served as the Administrative Assistant Principal at Ballentine Elementary. Please know my door is always open, as I am excited to meet all of you and I’m eager to serve alongside the students, staff and families in the Chapin community! Go Eagles!
