Kelly H Tucker

            Kelly H. Tucker retired in 2012 from Richland School District One having taught band, language arts and math.  From 2012-2015 she taught part-time as the woodwind specialist at Chapin Middle School.  Since that time, she has worked as a curriculum writer for ETV to create a website with lesson plans and strategies to teach social studies standards in middle level education.  In addition, Mrs. Tucker supervises student interns at the University of South Carolina. She plays clarinet in the Riverland Hills Baptist Church Orchestra.  Mrs. Tucker and her husband, Larry, have two children, Cole and Lyn, that attend Chapin High School.

             Mrs. Tucker holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Lander University, a Master of Arts in Gifted Education from Converse College and a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Capella University.  She is certified in elementary education, instrumental music K-12, and administration.  In addition, she holds the endorsement to teach AGP students.

             Mrs. Tucker has been recognized as an "Outstanding Young Woman of America," “Teacher of the Year” and "Who's Who Among America's Teachers" multiple times.  In 2017, Mrs. Tucker was awarded a life-time achievement award from Marquis Who’s Who.
