• Mr. Joseph

     

    Mansa Joseph was announced as the principal of Irmo Middle School on March 29, 2022. He was previously the Assistant Principal of Instruction and Assistant Principal. Mr. Joseph was the Lexington Richland District 5 Teacher of the Year in the 2016-2017 school year.  Before entering the classroom, he was a student at Clemson University, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Multi-Categorical Special Education. He later continued his education and received his Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision from Southern Wesleyan University. He is a member of the Call Me MISTER program for male educators. As a former Clemson football player, Mansa is a member of the 2011 ACC Championship Team.

  • Mrs. Locklair 

     

     

    Mrs. Jeanna Locklair is a fourth year administrator in D5. Prior to being an administrator, she was an 8th grade ELA teacher. She taught at Fort Mill, Dutch Fork, and Irmo Middle. She has served as a department chair, coaching teacher, and Data Team facilitator and trainer. In addition, she served as the lead teacher for PBIS and successfully completed District Five’s Leadership Academy during the 2019-20 school year. She attended Winthrop University for her undergraduate degree and received her masters in Educational Administration from University of South Carolina. She grew up in the Irmo area and graduated from Irmo High School. She has always strived to give students the best educational experience and lift their confidence. Above all, she is an advocate for all students! 

     
    In her free time she spends time with her husband (whom she graduated with from Irmo High School), her baby daughter Elsie, and her two fur children, Bernie (13) and Maggie (9). She loves a Lake Murray sunset, a mountain view with a hot cup of coffee, an evening run, and catching up on shows, old and new.

  • Mr. Hutto image  

     

    Mr. Hutto is the administrator for 7th grade. This is his thirteenth year at Irmo Middle School. Prior to coming to Irmo Middle, he was a middle and high school special education teacher and a high school social studies teacher, coach, and administrator. Mr. Hutto received his Bachelor's degree in history from Newberry College, his Master of Arts in Teaching in special education from the College of Charleston, and his Educational Specialist in education administration from the University of South Carolina. He is certified as a teacher and as an elementary and secondary administrator. Both of Mr. Hutto's children attended Irmo Middle and he is extremely proud to be a YELLOW JACKET!   • Mr. Boland image

    This is Mr. Boland's second year at Irmo Middle School. He will be serving as Assistant Principal for 6th and 8th grade. Mr. Boland received his Bachelor’s degree in History from Clemson University in 2012. He earned his teaching certificate through the Program of Alternative Certification for Educators (PACE) in 2016. In 2018, he received his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership for Administration and Supervision from Clemson University. Prior to joining this family, he taught for 7 years at Newberry Middle School. There, he taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade social studies. This past school year, he served as an assistant principal at Sims Middle School in Union County. When he is not at work, he loves spending time with his wife Ashley and their son Everett. Together, they love spending time with family and friends. They also love to attend Clemson athletic events. Some of his favorite things to do involve being outdoors, such as playing golf, and gardening.
