Degrees and Certifications:

Gwendolyn Carmichael

I was born in Bronx, New York, and later moved to Greenville, AL. In Greenville I worked for AmeriCorps, assisting in the Bright Beginnings Program, Special ED Department, and Central Office. While working for AmeriCorps I attended Alabama State University, where I received my BS in Elementary Education, with a certification in grades K-6. I also have a masters are in Educational Administration, and a certification in Leadership. This is my tenth-year teaching, and I love every moment of it!

On top of being an educator I am a wife, and a mother to one son, and a beautiful daughter-in-law. Who enjoys spending time her family, learning new things, and eating in my free time. Second grade is my favorite grade level, and we are going to have fantastic year!
