What is PBIS?
PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, an initiative to encourage positive behavior.
It is a positive and proactive approach intended for students.
Specific strategies have been utilized by staff to explain the routines and procedures necessary to create a safe learning environment, in which students can learn and teachers can teach.
PBIS encompasses a consistent set of school wide rules and procedures for every area of the campus.
The "3Bs" promote positive behavior in the hallways, on the playground, in the cafeteria and mini theater, in the hall restrooms, and in the classrooms.
These BEAR Essentials are displayed throughout the building to encourage and promote positive behavior.
The language and behaviors that the faculty, staff, and students use throughout the school is consistent.

          The 3 Bs:
        Be Kind
        Be Respectful
        Be Your Best
When students exhibit the 3 Bs, they have the opportunity to earn individual and class bear paws.  The individual bear paws may be placed in several weekly prize drawings.  The golden bear paws earn the classes recognition on the morning news and the opportunity to redeem them for class awards (guest readers, hat day, sock day, extra recess, game day, etc)
