In this introductory photography class, students will learn to operate a 35mm camera and may also be exposed to a variety of cameras - 35mm SLR, DSLR, phone and tablet. Students will explore both the technical and creative aspects of the camera and their impact upon the photographic image. The photographic image as an art form is the emphasis of the course; therefore, a strong foundation in basic design is a requirement. Students will develop a digital portfolio. Image editing software will be used to manipulate images for a stronger artistic effect.
