Ms. Gilbert

Kimberly Ann Gilbert, Ed.S, holds an Educational Specialist degree in counselor education, a master's in elementary school guidance, a master’s degree in educational administration and a bachelor's degree in criminal justice all from The University of South Carolina. She has worked as a school counselor since 2004 and has had special training in serving students with disabilities and (PBIS) Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. In 2010 she authored and was the lead project director for a large grant that involved PBIS and students with disabilities. In 2015 she was awarded the Superintendent’s "Gold Coin" for Outstanding Service in Educational Assessments for students with disabilities. Kimberly is certified as a Global Career Development Facilitator (CDF), National Certified Counselor (NCC), CATE- Protective Services Teacher, a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) and Certified as a Secondary School Principal. Additionally, she has served as a law enforcement officer and investigator. In 2002, she was awarded the “Officer of the Year” from The University of South Carolina. She is certified by Wicklander-Zulawski in Criminal Interviewing and Interrogation techniques.
