Juanita McAllister Caldwell

Hello members of the Wolf Pack family, my name is Juanita McAllister Caldwell and I am ecstatic to be the school counselor at the Academy! I feel it is important for you to know that I am here for not only your student but for you as well. Together, WE will make a difference. One of my favorite quotes come from Oprah: "Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down." This is important for you to know about me because as much as I dislike riding on buses, my love for what I do is greater and I will be with you on your bus until it reaches its final destination.

After graduating from South Florence High School (home of the MIGHTY Blue and Gold Bruins)  I received my post-secondary matriculation from South Carolina State University located in the garden city of Orangeburg, SC, where I received both my undergraduate (Bachelor of Arts in History) and graduate degrees. (Master of Education in Counselor Education, K-12) Prior to answering my call to becoming a school counselor, I worked in the business sector as a manager in training, where great customer service was not only expected but delivered. I received several well documented awards for being a "sales giant" consecutively across the Southeastern Region.

After leaving the infamous world of business, I served as a school counselor at both the elementary and middle school levels.  I was fortunate to have been given the opportunity to provide services to Easterling Primary, Sandhills Middle, Swansea Primary, Andrew Jackson Middle, as well as Dutch Fork Middle schools.

On a personal note, I married one of my childhood best friends, Francoise Caldwell who I have known since 8th grade.  After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from South Carolina State, we were married and blessed with the honor of raising two beautiful and awesome children: Bre’Anna Michelle and Jaelan Harrison, both currently being educated by the highly qualified faculty and staff of our district.  If I can be of service to you or your family, please do not hesitate contact me.
