• Homework, Class Assignments, Grades

Students who attend my class for reading should read for 15 minutes nightly. In grades 1-3, each student will bring home a reading pouch with books to read. Students in grades 4 and 5 will be required to read their independent books provided in their assigned class for at least 15 minutes nightly. Other assignments will be arranged individually with parents.

Students will receive progress reports quarterly which will be sent home with each student's report card. These progress reports will let you know the progress your student is making towards meeting his or her learning goals on his educational plan.

For English Language Arts (ELA), class assignments will include reading, writing, and spelling assignments daily.

For Math, class assignments will include math operations (adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division) for both whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percents and math application asignments in which student will use mathematics to solve real world problems (e.g., story problems, measurement, geometry, money).

Please send in a selection of aspirational and goal setting stickers, markers, washi tape, and other craft materials for Planners for your son or daughter to use to decorate their Agenda as they set goals, plan and pratice to goal, and finally celebrate the achievelment of their goals.
