• ASVAB

    The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB).  The ASVAB is a 

    multi-aptitude test battery.  It helps you identify your different skills and competencies.  

    It measures potential to learn and perform in certain career areas.  

     

     

    WHO:    Seniors interested in a Military Career will be given first priority to test.  

                 Currently enrolled SHHS student in 12th, 11th or 10th grade are eligible to test. The morning of the test, students present and prepared to test will be                 given opportunity if registered student(s) is late or no show.

    TIME:    8:35 AM Start time 

    Be On Time / No exceptions.  This is a delayed start Wednesday school day.  In order to provide the opportunity to have the ASVAB administered and minimize loss of instruction in classes, the test will begin promptly at 8:35 AM.

     

    REGISTER:  Announcements & email will be sent/posted for students interested in taking the ASVAB to visit the SHHS                                          Counseling Office to add your own name to the testing list when it is posted in October.

    Taking the ASVAB does not commit you to join the military.  It is a timed multi-aptitude test, which is given nationwide and is developed and maintained by the Department of Defense.  There is no obligation to join any military branch as a result of taking the ASVAB.  SHHS does not release scores to military recruiters.
