Biology 1 is a laboratory science course that explores the study of living things, life characteristics, and life processes, and follows both the national and South Carolina science standards. This course examines the fundamental concepts of biology: biochemistry, plant and animal cell structure and function, classical and molecular genetics, heredity and DNA, evolution, and ecology.
This course has a state-mandated End of Course Test (EOCT) in May which counts for 20% of the student’s final grade.
