Degrees and Certifications:

Clemson University Special Education B.A.

Mrs. Kirsten McClam

Hi, my name is Kirsten McClam and I grew up in Eastover, South Carolina.  I have 5 years experience as an elementary school resource teacher.  I graduated from Clemson University in 2014 and earned a degree in Special Education.  This is my third year at Ballentine Elementary School teaching resource.  I previously taught elementary resource at Springdale Elementary  in Lexington School District Two.  My favorite part of my job is seeing the joy when a student learns something new, especially when a child learns to read.  During the course of this school year I will implement instructional strategies and curriculums to target the specific needs of your child.

When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with my husband, Cole, and our four year old Labrador Retriever, Bear.  We spend a lot of time as a family boating on Lake Murray as a family.  I also love to garden, Amazon shop, and dabble in wood working and crafting.

I am excited for the opportunity to teach your child for the 2019-2020 school year!
