Hello! My name is Reggie Salazar and I am a US Army Veteran and served my country for 24 years. I retired as a Lieutenant Colonel and served in a variety of leadership positions all over the world. I have spent the last 4 years in the field of education. My first two years here at Chapin Middle School I was the Foreign Language instructor (Spanish) and for the last two years I have taught 7th grade Leadership (PRO TEAM) and 8th grade Financial Literacy. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and I hold a Masters' degree in Business Management. It is an honor and a privilege to have your child in my class. I am so blessed to be in a position where I can help coach, teach, and mentor them as they grow and learn at the middle school level. I have a strong sense of passion for our youth and it is my duty to help develop the next generation of leaders and citizens. I have served as the CMS School Improvement Council (SIC) Chairman from 2015-2017, 2019-2021, 2021-2022, to the present. I am also a board member of the Chapin Eagle Club.
My family and I have lived in Chapin for seven years and my wife Lauri and I have been married for 24 years. We have two children, my daughter Sadie who is a 2021 Chapin High School graduate and is a Sophomore at Clemson University, and my son Owen, who is a Junior at Chapin High School. My hobbies include anything outdoors, watching sports, and physical fitness.
