Over the month of April your student will listen to me reading Harry Potter and respond to a question. Alternate assignment: read and write about your book as directed on the directions sheet. In the beginning of May we will be finishing Harry Potter and will be moving onto I Survived: The Battle of Gettysburg.

Students are journaling about this time in history and responding to questions about our text. Remember that complete sentences start with a captial letter, end with punctuation, and contain at minimum a noun and verb. Remember that the reader of your writing is not in your head-be careful to fully explain what you are thinking!

    Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw

Habit 7 tells us balance is best. How appropriate for the time we are living in! Students need to learn the practice of getting their work done as well as taking care of the physical, mental, and emotional health.
