• The Social Studies department wrapped up a lesson on early economics through a lesson in  bartering by having students make and create artisan works ranging from bracelets, slime, and scrunchies to working catapults.  They then displayed their wares in the marketplace and bartered for other items.  They could continue to trade until the end of the allotted time.  The students were then asked to reflect on the activity to see what they would improve as small business owners if they had to barter again, or what they would keep the same.
