Getting to Clever (Edmentum and Typetastic):

Click below for the Parent/Guardian how-to letter. It works best if you log into Google Chrome with your child's school login. Once you open the Chrome browser, very important - click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner once you're in Chrome. Go to Settings. Then under People, log into Chrome with their student email and password. Make sure and select the option to Sync Google.

The instructions will direct your student to Clever, which is our E-Learning portal. Once logged in, Edmentum and Typetastic (keyboarding instruction) are just a click away!

Multiple Students Using Clever on the same device:

Note: If using a Chromebook, all you need to do is to make sure each student is logged into their own District 5 student account before going to Clever.

If your household has multiple students with Clever accounts using the same device, this article will help make sure that your children are properly logged out before the other logs in!

To ensure that your child's user session is ended before logging the other in, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Log out of Clever

    • From the Clever Portal, click on the student's name in top right corner, select Log out.

Step 2: Log out of your district's Identity Provider (e.g. Google, Active Directory, etc.)

Step 3: Log in to Clever as new user

    • Navigate to and search for your school. Once your school is located, click on the Google button and enter your school email address and password. You should now be successfully logged in to the new user's Clever account!

If the above steps have been completed but the login does not work, we recommend having your students log in using a private window. This will ignore all existing Google user sessions, allowing other users to log in:

    1. On your computer, open Google Chrome.
    2. At the top right, click More   New Incognito Window.
    3. A new window appears. In the top corner, check for the Incognito icon .
    4. Navigate to and log in using the instructions outlined in Step 3.
