What is math talk?

Teachers and parents can grow mathematicians through intentional discussions which include guided prompts and questions. We will use guided math talk in our small group learning.  It will soon become an automatic process for your problem-solver!

Why is it important?

This practice helps children self-reflect on what they know, clarify their thinking, determine next steps, deepen knowledge and increase growth and confidence. Here are some specific examples:
