My name is Brendan Cafferty and I have been in education for 18 years. I live in Lexington with my wife Susan and our four children. In 1992, I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Marine Science from the University of South Carolina. After completing a Masters of Arts in Teaching in 1996 from the University of South Carolina, I taught Biology, Marine Science, Physical Science, and Earth Science for seven years in various public schools in South Carolina and Georgia. From 1997-2003, I was employed by Lexington School District One and taught at both White Knoll High School and White Knoll Middle School. In 2003, I was offered the opportunity to utilize my science skills and educational background at the Department of Health and Environmental Control as a Bioterrorism Exercise Coordinator in the Office of Public Health Preparedness. After receiving my Masters of Education in Education Administration, I returned to public schools in June 2012 as both a science teacher and an assistant principal. Last year, I had the awesome opportunity to teach chemistry and physical science at FIVE and I love it! I look forward to working with your child this school year!
