Ms. Petersen

I am Elisabeth Petersen.  I have had the fortune of teaching for twelve years at Ballentine Elementary School.  I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, I have a Master's degree in Language and Literacy, and I am a certified Gifted and Talented teacher.  I earned both degrees through the University of South Carolina, go Gamecocks!  I have had the pleasure of teaching both fourth and fifth grade.  For the 2020- 2021 school year, I will be teaching fourth grade!  

I love to travel and stay active.  I have had the opportunity to visit some truly amazing places around the world.  I have gotten to go caving in Budapest, swim with sting rays in Cozumel, hike volcanoes in Greece!  The latest adventure was Thailand, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur.  I also enjoy staying active.  I am often found at the gym in my spare time and look for ways to bring movement into the classroom!

Teaching is my passion and I feel truly lucky to be at the BESt school in South Carolina!
