Dr. Hampton is a proud graduate of Irmo High School. She began her teaching career at Irmo and for the past 12 years has served as an English teacher, SLC Coordinator, and administrator.  She is married with two children.

Mr. Clark has proudly served in public education for 14 years, starting his journey in Virginia, where he served as a Career and Technology Educator at Altavista High School and coached a variety of sports (football, basketball, and baseball) for seven years. He received his undergraduate degree from Emory & Henry College (Communications/Business) and his graduate degree (Educational Leadership) from Liberty University. He taught at Dutch Fork Middle and coached varsity football at Dutch Fork High for one year before he moved into administration at CrossRoads Intermediate for two years. Next he served as an Assistant Principal at Spring Hill High School for three years before coming to Irmo High. In his free time Mr. Clark enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, working out, playing golf and traveling. Mr. Clark is thrilled to be a part of the Irmo High School community!

Mr. Jeff Corley

Assistant Principal

 

Mr. Corley completed his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of South Carolina in 1998. He started his teaching career in 1999 after completing his Masters in Teaching from the University of South Carolina. Mr. Corley taught and coached at various schools including Swansea High School, Laurens District 55 High School, and Strom Thurmond High School. He coached football and baseball at each school and helped Strom Thurmond High School win a state championship in football in 2005 as the defensive coordinator and linebacker coach. After meeting his now wife, Kara, Mr. Corley moved to the Columbia area and began teaching at Irmo High School in 2007. He stopped coaching to pursue an administrative degree, and after seven more years in the classroom, became an administrative assistant principal. Mr. Corley is now an assistant principal at Irmo High School and lives in the Irmo community with his wife and three children. His favorite quotation: "Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime!" - Old Navajo saying.

Mr. Ron McGinty

Assistant Principal

Mr. McGinty graduated from Presbyterian College in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies. While teaching at Dutch Fork High School, he received National Board For Professional Teaching Standards Certification and three Advanced Placement Certifications including AP Government, AP Macroeconomics and AP Microeconomics.  After completing post-secondary work with the University of South Carolina, Mr. McGinty moved to Chapin Middle School as an Assistant Principal in 2013. While serving at Chapin Middle, Mr. McGinty has presented at National Forum School To Watch Conference and SC Association for Middle Level Education.  Mr. McGinty is a diehard Carolina Gamecock fan and is excited to be joining Irmo High School as an Assistant Principal.

Mr. Richard Tillmon

Administrative Assistant Principal


 

Mr. Tillmon is a 1992 graduate of Brookland-Cayce High School and a 1997 graduate of Newberry College with a B.S. in Business Administration and a Masters in Administration and Supervision from Liberty University. While at Newberry College, Mr. Tillmon was a four year Letterman on the baseball team and two year Letterman on the football team. In high school Mr. Tillmon was a four year Letterman in football and baseball and a three year Letterman in basketball. Mr. Tillmon was the Bearcat Athlete of the Year in 1991 & 1992. After college, he played two years of professional baseball before entering the teaching and coaching profession. He was part of the first White Knoll HighSchool football staff when they opened in 2000 and part of the first State Championship Team for Baseball at White Knoll High School in 2010. Mr. Tillmon served as a teacher in the CATE Business Department at White Knoll High School and then later at River Bluff High School. This is his 22nd year in education and 3rd year as an Administrative Assistant Principal. Mr. Tillmon lives in Lexington with his spouse Jennifer and their four children.
