CrossRoads Student Council 2021-2022

  • Student Council is a student-led organization made up of bridge representatives and elected officers. Student Council members work together to help share ideas, interests, and concerns with the advisor. The goal is to improve our school by developing ideas to make positive change within our school community. The Student Council leads activities such as canned food drives, teacher appreciation events, service projects, and assist in other school events throughout the year.


    Approximately 64 students who will make up CRIS Student Council.  There are two representatives from each bridge class, one being the primary representative and the other being the alternate. In the event of multiple students from one bridge class are wanting to participate, there will be a vote that will take place in bridge class.  


    Meetings will be held once a month, on Wednesdays, through google meet. The meeting will start at 4pm.  Meeting information will be sent out after the application process and may change due to board policies on levels of mitigation.  Standard modification and membership criterion falls under the jurisdiction of the Americans with Disabilities Act. 


    Student Council Requirements
    -Representatives, officers, and alternates must maintain excellent behavior. If an in-school suspension or out-of- school suspension, the representative will be replaced for the remainder of the school year. 
    -The expectation for a student council member is to attend the meetings. If you are out, it is your responsibility to contact the alternate from your bridge class. If absences become an issue, we will speak on an individual basis.
