Hello!  My name is Mrs. Cheryl Burkett and I am currently a Reading Interventionist at Harbison West Elementary.   I  taught First Grade here for twenty GLORIOUS years! I have been a teacher at Harbison West since 1985.   (Can you tell how much I LOVE this school?)

I have two children who reside in Georgia and Maryland. I have four precious grandchildren.  My daughter decided to follow in the footsteps of her maternal grandmother and mother to become a teacher.  She teaches Kindergarten.  My son is the manager of a well-known breakfast restaurant chain.

Besides introducing my students to the joy and importance of reading, I also enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and cooking.
