¡Bienvenidos Padres y Estudiantes!
Welcome Parents and students!
I have been teaching for sixteen years in district five, and this will be my fifth year here at CRIS. It has been a wonderful opportunity and privilege to teach my language and share my culture here in SC to these fantastic students. It is so satisfying when my students enter my classroom without much knowledge of the language and at the end of the course they are able to understand and carry on a simple conversation.
I strive for excellence and hard work. I believe that my student’s success depends upon me as their teacher and their hard work throughout the semester. The students who have been learning their vocabulary, have been actively involved in the learning process, and have done their homework without a doubt will be well prepared to take Spanish 1.
Students will learn through direct instruction, teacher directed activities, role-playing, questioning, partner and small group activities, art, music, food, dance, games, and projects related to a specific unit to foster communication in spanish. Also, students will be introduced to some interesting facts of the Spanish speaking world and be exposed to elements of Hispanic culture that are related to the topic of the lesson.
It's going to be a great semester and viva el Español ! If you need to contact me please email me.
