Dr. Jo Dowdy

Jo Dowdy is the high school math teacher at the Academy.  She has been with the staff since 2005.  She taught 3 years in Newberry County before joining the LexRich 5 family. She taught 2 years in Kentucky before moving to South Carolina.  Ms. Dowdy earned her B.S. at Purdue University, as well as Mathematics and Education majors at Murray State University.  She earned her Master's Degree in Divergent Learning at Columbia College.  Ms. Dowdy has recently earned her Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction at USC.

Ms. Dowdy enjoys reading and cooking.  She also enjoys spending time with her family playing cards and watching football in the fall.
