School District Five football player nominee for Richland County High School Player of the Year
IRMO – Dutch Fork High School football player Cayden McFadden is one of 17 nominees for the 2024-2025 Richland County High School Football Player of the Year Award presented by the Richland County Recreation Commission and Richland County Recreation Foundation.
Cayden McFadden is a senior varsity offensive lineman and tight end for the Silver Foxes.
“I’m honored and grateful to be nominated for the honor because it means the world to me to be able to represent my family at Dutch Fork,” McFadden said. “I know I wouldn’t be in this position without my coaches and teammates. This recognition reflects the hard work, dedication, and support from my team, coaches, and community.”
Nominees must be senior varsity football players at the 17 High Schools within the borders of Richland County, representing Richland County School District One, Richland School District Two, Lexington-Richland School District Five, and South Carolina Independent School Association. Each school may nominate one player who has a minimum 2.5 GPA in core classes and demonstrates excellence on the football field and in the classroom and good sportsmanship and citizenship in their daily lives.
The winner, selected by coaches and media voters, will receive a $2000 scholarship or an educational bundle of equal value for his hard work and dedication on and off the field, awarded at a special banquet for nominees, their families, and their coaches on December 2, 2024.
