School District Five students shine at SC FCCLA Spring Conference
IRMO – Irmo High School Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) recently attended the SC FCCLA Spring State Conference, where students participated in engaging workshops and showcased their talents in various Students Taking Action with Recognition (STAR) events.
The Irmo FCCLA chapter participated in workshops to develop their leadership skills and excelled in their state competitive events.
Dawt Tling has been elected as the Vice President of Community Service for the 2025-2026 school year for the state. This position reflects Tling’s dedication and passion for making a difference in the community and giving back.
All other teams earned top scores in their competitive events at the state competition. The chapter members earned one silver for one team and gold in all their competitive events. Their impressive accomplishments are listed below:

· Serfinia Komora – Chapter in Review Portfolio – Gold

· Lincoln Rhodan – Event Management – Gold
· Azaria Jeffery & Robert Lawrence – Professional Presentation – Silver
Their hard work and determination have earned them the opportunity to compete at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference this summer in Orlando, FL
“I am so incredibly proud of these students and the hard work they have invested in preparing for the conference and competition,” Irmo High School FCCLA Advisor Tari Watson said. “The team not only worked hard on their individual project but displayed teamwork in preparing and supporting one another. This by far has been one of my best years working with students.”
