Dutch Fork High School Named National Beta School of Merit
IRMO – Dutch Fork High School has been recognized as a 2025–2026 National Beta School of Merit. This honor is awarded to schools whose Beta Clubs demonstrate outstanding achievement in academics, leadership, character, and service.
“As president, I feel that being named a School of Merit is a sign of our club’s growth and our continued influence on campus,” said Beta Club President Daniel Leuthner-Barrineau. “I’m incredibly proud of our members and excited to see the club prosper in the future.”
Advisor Ms. Kelly Eckstrom added, “I'm incredibly proud of our students and their families. Our School of Merit recognition reflects not only our members’ hard work, leadership, and service, but also the constant encouragement and support they receive at home. This honor truly belongs to our students and their parents, who make it possible for them to give so much of themselves to Dutch Fork and our community.”
As the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in America, National Beta is dedicated to leading by serving others. Their four pillars are the perfect summation of the core of National Beta. The Beta community recognizes high academic achievement, rewards and nurtures worthy character, fosters leadership skills, and encourages service to others. Being a Beta means being a part of a community of leaders who are positively impacting the world.
