Irmo Middle School C Team Football Celebrates Historic Undefeated Season
IRMO – Irmo Middle School is celebrating a milestone achievement by its C Team Football program after the team completed an undefeated 7–0 season, marking the first perfect season for the program since 2022.
The team was honored during halftime of the January 21, 2026 Irmo Middle School Boys Basketball game, where players and coaches were recognized in front of students, families, and staff for their outstanding performance on the field.
As part of the celebration, a commemorative banner was unveiled and will be permanently displayed in the school gymnasium, serving as a lasting reminder of the team’s hard work and success.
“We have a great brotherhood here at Irmo with a great coaching staff,” 8th Grade Player Collin Hannon said. “We worked really hard this year and the coaches pushed us hard, but we persevered and the hard work paid off. It feels great to be recognized and celebrated by our school and the community.”
Throughout the season, the Irmo Middle School C Team demonstrated discipline, teamwork, and determination, overcoming every opponent and setting a high standard for future Yellow Jacket athletes. Coaches credited the players’ commitment, sportsmanship, and resilience as key factors in the team’s success.
“This undefeated season is a tremendous accomplishment and a reflection of the dedication our student-athletes show both on and off the field,” Irmo Middle School C Team Football Coach Johnny Johnson said. “A lot of programs around the state don’t recognize middle school programs, but we do here at Irmo. We are proud to honor this team and celebrate a season they will remember for years to come.”
