Lexington Richland 5 FFA Chapter to host Spring Plant Sale

IRMO – The Lexington Richland 5 FFA chapter will host its annual Spring Plant Sale March 30–31 and April 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the greenhouse at the Center for Advanced Technical Studies (The Center), located at 916 Mount Vernon Church Road in Chapin.

The community is invited to shop a wide variety of plants grown and prepared by students in the district’s agriculture program. Proceeds from the sale will support the local National FFA Organization chapter and help fund student leadership development, competitions, and hands-on agricultural learning opportunities.

Plants available at the sale include colorful flowers, foliage plants, and garden favorites such as Petunias, Million Bells, Wandering Jew (Tradescantia), Begonias, Geraniums, Vinca (Periwinkle), Zinnias, Sweet Potato Vine, Marigolds, Coleus, Lantana, and Verbena. Shoppers will also find vegetable plants including Tomato and Pepper varieties, perfect for spring gardens.

The annual sale provides students with valuable real-world experience in plant production, greenhouse management, and agricultural business practices while giving the community an opportunity to purchase locally grown plants just in time for spring planting.

Community members may pay by cash or check made out to CATS.
