Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies Minor in Spanish Elementary Certified Teacher of the Year 2020-2021, LMES

Mrs. Jill Stauffer

WELCOME!  I am thrilled to be your child's 3rd grade teacher as we venture together during this inaugural year at Piney Woods Elementary School!  I have had a variety of experiences as an educator, a calling which I value and adore.  Among those experiences are teaching 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades. I also taught 4-year-old preschool while I stayed home with my boys as a full-time mom for five years.

I was born in Michigan, but I got here as fast as I could {A.S.A.P. = As Southern As Possible}! I am a proud product of District Five schools myself, which is where I also completed my student internship.  I graduated from the University of South Carolina {GO GAMECOCKS!} with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish.

My husband and I cherish our two boys, ages 19 and 17. In my free time I enjoy gardening, baking, decorating, biking, walking, and spending time with my family outside at the lake or beach.

I hope to inspire my students to have a strong sense of community with meaningful connections, appreciate each other's differences, be skilled problem solvers, and to be the very best they can be while becoming lifelong learners.  Thank you for entrusting your child to me.  Along with motherhood, I believe I have the best job in the world! Looking forward to empowering our learners together with Purple Martin Pride!
