My name is Anne Summers, and I am thrilled to be a third grade teacher at Lake Murray Elementary School! This is my eleventh year at LMES and my twentieth year as a teacher. My undergraduate degree is in Elementary Education, and my Masters Degree is in Special Education/Learning Disabilities, both from Clemson University.
I have obtained my Masters Plus Thirty in the area of Literacy and am certified as a Literacy Teacher. I have also completed Reading Recovery Certification through Clemson University and am endorsed as a Gifted and Talented Teacher.
My husband, Mason, and I have been married for twenty one years. We have a daughter, Caroline, who is in tenth grade at Chapin High School and a son, Jake, who is in seventh grade at Chapin Middle School.
When I am not at school, then I am spending time with my family on the lake, at the beach or following Clemson sports. Go Tigers! I LOVE to read by myself, with my own children, and with my students at LMES.
