Ms. Ward

My name is Lindy Ward and I am thrilled to be part of the 3rd grade family again at Piney Woods Elementary School. This is my 24th year teaching and I am eager to see what great successes we have in store for this year. I have taught 3rd grade for the majority of my career, but have also taught 4th grade, 5th grade, AGP, as well as served as the head Gifted and Talented teacher at Dutch Fork Elementary School.

I grew up here in Chapin, SC, graduated from Chapin High School, attended and graduated from Clemson University, as well as earned my Masters from Columbia College. I earned my National Board Certification in Literacy and have also renewed that certificate.

I have 3 children, 2 girls and a boy, all of whom attend school here in District 5. I am excited to have this opportunity to grow as a community, classroom, and family. This year will hold many new experiences for every student and we will be the ones who set the future for PWES: Outstanding success, positive attitudes, and PURPLE MARTIN PRIDE!!!
