I grew up and graduated from Chapin High School in 1996.  Then, after graduating from Clemson University (2000) with a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education, I taught 3rd grade in Athens, Georgia for two years. I returned home to Columbia and began teaching with Lexington/Richland District 5.

This year begins my 20th year as a teacher.  I have taught 3rd grade for the majority of my career, but have also taught 4th grade, 5th grade, as well as served as the head Gifted and Talented teacher at Dutch Fork Elementary School.

My husband, David and I have two daughters, Sarah Beth and Brooke, and a son, Colton. We also have a chocolate lab named Beam and a Catahoula Bulldog named Django.  I enjoy cooking, photography, reading, watching movies, being around friends and family, and laughing!!!
