Hello Families!

My name is Megan Kakaras and I am a National Board Certified Kindergarten teacher at Leaphart Elementary School. I graduated from Clemson University with an Undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education and then with a Master's Degree in Reading. The 2023-2024 school year will be my 18th year as an educator. I enjoy getting to know my students and nurturing them each day!

My instructional assistant is Karen Busby, and we make an amazing team!

Our class mascot is the beaver. Beavers are great natural engineers, and at Leaphart, we are growing into great engineers, as well!

Hi, I am thrilled and excited to help your students grow this year. This is my eighth year in the kindergarten setting and my seventh year at Leaphart. My husband and I have 3 wonderful children. They are attending and have attended schools in District Five. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with the family and relaxing with a good book.
