My name is Stephanie MacKay and I've taught Kindergartners at Leaphart Elementary since 2009. My wonderful assistant is Cathy Alcorn. We are both thrilled your family is with us this year!

To tell you a little bit about myself... I am from Greenville, South Carolina.  I graduated with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education in 2009 and a Masters in Language and Literacy from the University of South Carolina in 2015. I have been National Board Certified since 2017. 

Our class mascot is the hummingbird. Hummingbirds are great natural engineers, and at Leaphart, we are growing into great engineers, as well!

This website exists to communicate with families of happenings in my classroom. I hope it is helpful for all of you!

I have been a Kindergarten Assistant at Leaphart STEAM Magnet School since 2014. I grew up in the Irmo area and graduated from Dutch Fork High School. I went on to Midlands Technical College and the University of South Carolina. I have a degree in Business Management. 

I am so excited to be a part of your child's life and watch them grow as readers, mathematicians and engineers!
