Mrs. Kristi Meetze
I have taught chorus for the past 20 years. I previously taught at Chapin Middle School from 2000 to 2015. In 2016-2017 I was honored to be chosen Chapin Intermediate's Teacher of the Year. I am married and have two children and two pets. My husband is an avid hunter as is my 15-year old son. My 17-year old daughter loves to fish, loves to read, and loves school! My son loves to hunt and fish! Adam also likes to play his Xbox and loves to talk about cars and trucks. He will be driving to school for the first time this year. I enjoy reading, watching Netflix, and playing with my pets. Coco is a chihuahua and is basically a lap dog. Ollie was a stray kitten that I found outside of a restaurant! Ollie likes to go on adventures. Sometimes he may not return for two weeks at a time. My family and I like to spend time at the creek behind our house. This past summer we went to Topsail Beach in North Carolina. It was a beautiful place and we plan on possibly going back next summer.
My passion is music and I enjoy playing the piano and singing in my spare time. I am the organist and choir director at St. John's Lutheran Church in Pomaria. I have a Masters in Piano Pedagogy as well as a Bachelor's in Piano Pedagogy. I also have a Bachelors's in Choral Education. It is a pleasure to teach in the Chapin area!
