Teaching Physical Education in District 5 is a fantastic opportunity. I began teaching at Ballentine Elementary in 2015. I have truly enjoyed watching the students grow and challenge themselves to be their best each year! Growing up, my favorite hobby was clogging. I clogged with the team Carolina FreeStyle from childhood through many of my early adult years. Some of my favorite places to perform were Dollywood, Disney, New York City, and The Country Tonite Theater. Locally, the State Fair, Newberry Opera House, and hometown parades were a blast to perform. I also enjoyed playing in an intramural baseball/softball league. My passion now is attending bootcamps and running with a group called FiA, Females in Action. In March 2018, I ran my first half marathon. I have since run two more half marathons, setting a new PR each time. I have participated in a variety of team relays and numerous 5k and 10k races. I love spending time with my family, traveling (camping)/being outside, fishing, and shopping. I also enjoy reading Nicholas Sparks novels.
