Teaching Physical Education in District 5 is an amazing opportunity, five years at Ballentine Elementary have flown by. I have truly enjoyed watching the students grow and challenge themselves to be their best each year! My favorite hobby is clogging.  I began dance classes at Dance Station, Inc. at the age of 5. I clogged with the team Carolina FreeStyle from childhood through many of my early adult years. Some of my favorite places to perform at were Dollywood, Disney, New York City, and The Country Tonite Theather. Locally, the State Fair, Newberry Opera House, and hometown parades were a blast to perform. I also grew up playing baseball/softball in various intramural leagues. My passion now is attending bootcamps and running with a group called FiA, Females in Action, whose mission is to make each other stronger in all parts of our lives. In March 2018, I ran my first Half Marathon. I ran that same Half Marathon this past March 2020 to earn a new PR. I have participated in the Palmetto 200 Relay three times. That is a 200-mile running relay from Columbia, SC to Charleston, SC over a two day period! The distance I find the most pleasure in to run is 10k to 15k. I love spending time with my family, traveling/being outside, fishing (brim and bass), and shopping. I also enjoy reading Nicholas Sparks novels.
