Mrs. Dianne Mundo
My name is Dianne Mundo but my students call me Señora Mundo. The beautiful Caribbean island of Puerto Rico was my home before moving to Irmo in 1987. I have been happily married for 34 years and have three wonderful children who are all alumni of Lexington Richland District 5 schools. I am especially proud of my awesome grandson!
My goal this year is to provide a great experience for all my students while they are learning the Spanish language on an elementary level. There are many ways to learn and you will notice that I utilize many different learning strategies such as: visuals, manipulatives, games, skits, songs, TPR (Total Physical Response) and more! I believe that using a variety of teaching strategies will help enhance your child's classroom experience, as they are immersed in the Spanish language.
Brain research shows that the optimal age to learn another language is before the age of 12. The elementary school years are prime time for your child to stretch him/herself as a second language learner!
We are going to have a fabulous year in Spanish! If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestion, please feel free to contact me at 476-4500 ext. 4580 (school) or email firstname.lastname@example.org
I am excited about being your child's teacher and look forward to a fun-filled year of learning together!
