I grew up in New York on a farm. I really like animals and plants. During my undergrad at SUNY Plattsburgh, I decided to pursue a degree in Biology and Education. I ended up graduating with a double major. I stayed on in Plattsburgh to work and to finish my Masters in Education with a specialization in Administration and Supervision. While getting my masters, I was working as a Lab assistant and decided to do further studies in Molecular Genetics at the University of South Carolina. In graduate school, I taught numerous classes. I have taught at both USC and Midlands Technical College for many years. I began teaching at CATS in the Fall of 2021. This year will be my 34th year as a teacher.
Currently, I am involved in a number of organizations promoting the environment and education. I am very passionate about public education and I am so glad that I have the privilege of teaching in such a great community.
