Hi there! My name is Bonnie Robinson. I grew up in Florence, SC as the child (and grandchild) of educators. I attended Francis Marion University where I majored in Elementary Education and graduated with my Bachelors of Science in 1992. I then moved to Fort Worth, Texas to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where I earned a Master of Arts in Christian Education in 1995. After graduate school, I worked as a college minister for three years at the University of West Georgia and served as a houseparent with the Georgia Baptist Children's Homes for one year.
In 1999, I began my teaching career at Loganville Middle School in Loganville, Georgia. I taught special education (6th-8th) and earned my add-on certification in Multi-Categorical Special Education. In 2004, I moved back to SC to be closer to family and I continued to teach special education at Lexington Middle School and Irmo Elementary.
I am now in my 11th year at Irmo High School (and my 22nd year of teaching). I live in the Irmo area and have two wonderful daughters - a sophomore at USC Upstate and an 8th grader at Irmo Middle School! I enjoy spending time with my family, going to church, going on mission trips, volunteering in the community, traveling, music, reading, and being at the beach! (I also love coffee and chocolate:).
I enjoy being a part of our D5 community and am so glad to have you as my student. I look forward to watching you succeed this year! Have a great year!
Love,
Ms. Robinson :)
